A popular nightclub ran a Salsa evening on a Tuesday Night which the friend attended on a regular basis. As a special event, they had booked the club for a one off Sunday Salsa night where they would have a live salsa band to accompany their dancing.

On the night, everything started fine and the band set up and began to play. Then several hundred employees of a large retailer turned up for their staff party, the venue had double booked. As the numbers for the staff party far outweighed the numbers for the salsa night, the band were told to pack up and the salsa dancers were asked to leave.

As the venue had made an oversight and forgotten about the party, they had not booked a DJ as they did not require one for the Salsa evening. Thus, they had to entertain the party with just the few dance CDs they had lying around the DJ box.

On hearing the story, Jamie Millard, already a working DJ in Edinburgh, was frustrated that he did not hear about the problem until after the event. If only there was a way that venues could get in touch when they needed someone to step in when they had a problem.

And LastMinuteDJs.net was born.

With a strong team of DJs he currently worked with and an array of contacts with other Edinburgh DJs, they felt they were in the perfect position to make themselves available when venues needed them most.

The original ethos of LastMinuteDJs.net was to step in and provide DJs to venues when something goes wrong and for one reason or another they were left without entertainment.

We very quickly branched out into the Mobile Disco field when it became clear that this was another area of the industry that is highly susceptible to let downs and problems, leaving people on the brink of a ruined night.

In fact the first booking for LastMinuteDJs.net was a wedding 50 Miles away in Murthly, Perthshire with only 3 days notice. Despite being considered slightly out of their area, LastMinuteDJs.net stepped in, and a good night was had by all.

Now, there is an impressive back catalogue of successful nights in both the Venue and Mobile Disco fields, with many booked at very short notice. Jamie Millard has also provided DJs to several other Entertainment agencies in the Edinburgh Area who have been struggling at the last minute to cover their events.

Although we strive to provide a Last Minute Service, naturally at peak seasonal times this cannot be guaranteed. Book early, to avoid any chance of disappointment.
